The landmark vehicle is the BE 6, Mahindra’s flagship electric SUV, symbolizing the company’s transition toward future-ready and sustainable mobility.

✅ 3 Million Vehicles Produced since operations began in December 2009.
✅ The latest one million vehicles were manufactured in just 27 months, nearly 4x faster than the first million.
✅ Spread across 657 acres, the facility manufactures 19 vehicle models and 450+ variants, including ICE, EVs, and commercial vehicles.
✅ Powered by Industry 4.0 technologies including AI, IoT, 5G connectivity, advanced robotics, digital traceability, and smart automation.
✅ Around 1,500 robots with 98% automation in the body shop ensure world-class manufacturing quality and efficiency.
✅ EV production operates on 100% renewable energy, while more than 50% of the overall plant’s energy comes from renewable sources.
✅ The facility is Water Positive, Zero Waste to Landfill certified, and returns 131% of the water it consumes back to nature.
✅ Vehicles manufactured at Chakan are exported to international markets including South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand.
