iD Fresh Food Launches Fourth Manufacturing Facility in Hyderabad to Scale Clean-Label Production.

On Friday, March 13, 2026, Bengaluru-based clean-label brand iD Fresh Food announced the grand opening of its fourth self-owned manufacturing facility in Hyderabad, Telangana.

The ₹25 crore state-of-the-art plant marks a significant capacity expansion, doubling the brand’s output for its most popular categories—idli and dosa batter and Malabar parotas—to meet surging demand in Central and South India.

Facility Blueprint: Scaling “Clean-Label” Production

The new 40,000 sq. ft. automated facility is designed to deliver fresh, preservative-free food at an industrial scale while maintaining the “homemade” quality the brand is known for.

  • Key Products: Currently dedicated to idli/dosa batter and parotas.
  • Future Capacity: Infrastructure is already in place to produce chapatis and other upcoming ready-to-cook (RTC) products.
  • Automation: The plant features an “untouched by human hands” production line, ensuring the highest global standards for hygiene and food safety.
  • Sustainability: The facility is a “green plant,” integrating solar power for its energy needs and advanced water recycling systems.

Strategic Supply Chain: Serving the “Corridor of Freshness”

The Hyderabad unit is strategically located to serve as a regional hub, significantly reducing “farm-to-table” transit times for several key markets:

  • Primary Markets: Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
  • Expanded Reach: The plant will also serve the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh, strengthening iD’s hyperlocal distribution network.
  • Hyperlocal Model: By producing closer to the point of sale, iD ensures its products (which have a short shelf life of 5–7 days) reach store shelves at peak freshness.

Employment & Community Impact

As part of its commitment to local development, iD Fresh Food has recruited over 200 employees for the new site, with 99% of the workforce drawn from the surrounding local community in Hyderabad.

“Our new plant in Hyderabad is a powerful symbol of what we stand for—technology-driven processes, zero compromise on hygiene, and a deep-rooted commitment to community and sustainability. It’s a major milestone in making clean-label food accessible to every Indian home.” — PC Musthafa, Global CEO and Chairman, iD Fresh Food.

The “India Expansion” Roadmap (2026)

The Hyderabad opening is part of a broader manufacturing surge for the company:

  • Owned Plants: iD now operates four flagship facilities (Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, and Hyderabad).
  • Third-Party Units: The company currently utilizes nine third-party units (including Chennai, Vizag, and Kolkata).
  • Upcoming Sites: New facilities in Indore (operational by April 2026) and Ahmedabad (expected by late 2026) are currently in the pipeline.
  • Revenue Target: Having posted a revenue of ₹680 crore in FY25, the company is eyeing an IPO within the next 2–3 years.
