Hyundai has proposed an investment of ₹1,500 crore to modernize and expand its manufacturing facility at Irungattukottai, Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu.
The proposed expansion includes:
🔹 Development of 1.81 lakh sq. m. of additional infrastructure
🔹 Modernization of manufacturing operations to improve efficiency and productivity
🔹 Retention of the plant’s annual production capacity of 8.5 lakh vehicles
🔹 Creation of approximately 155 new employment opportunities
The investment reinforces Tamil Nadu’s status as India’s leading automotive manufacturing destination, supported by its robust industrial ecosystem, skilled workforce, and strong supply chain network.
