On Wednesday, April 29, 2026, Hong Kong-based apparel giant Epic Group will officially inaugurate its first Indian manufacturing facility in Khurda, Odisha.
This 40-acre site at the IDCO Industrial Estate represents a ₹220 crore investment and establishes Epic Group as a major anchor in Odisha’s rapidly growing textile ecosystem. The plant, operated by its subsidiary Trimetro Garments India, is designed as a “factory of the future,” emphasizing extreme environmental standards.

Odisha’s Rising Status as a Textile Hub
The inauguration coincides with a surge of apparel investments in the state. Odisha is successfully attracting global firms through:
- Competitive Incentives: Direct employment subsidies of ₹7,000 per month for female workers.
- Infrastructure: Developing “plug-and-play” parks in Bhadrak and Ganjam.
- Strategic Entry: Epic Group joins other major players like Page Industries (Jockey) and MAS Holdings, who have also recently commissioned large units in the region.
“India was a natural next step given the country’s talented workforce and expertise. Our Odisha facility is not just about scale; it’s about redefining standards for socially and environmentally responsible manufacturing.” — Ranjan Mahtani, Executive Chairman, Epic Group.
