India’s electric mobility manufacturing sector continues to gain momentum as Zelio E-Mobility commences commercial production at its new manufacturing facility in Patan, Hisar, Haryana.
Spread across 6 acres, the new facility has a built-up area of 2,61,360 sq. ft. and will add 72,000 units of annual manufacturing capacity, comprising:
🔹 48,000 Electric Two-Wheelers
🔹 24,000 Electric Three-Wheelers
With this expansion, Zelio’s total installed manufacturing capacity will increase from 2.4 lakh to approximately 3.12 lakh units annually.
Key Highlights of the New Facility:
✅ Investment of over ₹20 crore under the company’s approved capital expenditure plan.
✅ Fourth manufacturing facility, strengthening its presence across Haryana, Odisha and Tamil Nadu.
✅ Production of Zelio electric scooters and Tanga electric three-wheelers.
✅ In-house fabrication, painting and assembly lines to support backward integration.
✅ Improved manufacturing efficiency, supply-chain reliability and cost management.
Expansion Backed by Strong Growth Ambitions
Zelio is also accelerating its dealership expansion strategy. The company currently operates through 400+ dealers across more than 25 states and is targeting a network of 550+ dealerships by FY2027.
Its revenue grew 81.8% year-on-year to ₹313.68 crore in FY2025-26, reflecting the company’s expanding business operations.
Driving Regional Industrial Growth
Beyond increasing production capacity, the Hisar facility is expected to generate employment across fabrication, painting, assembly, quality control, maintenance and warehousing, while creating opportunities for local suppliers and logistics partners.
This expansion highlights Haryana’s growing importance as a manufacturing destination for India’s electric mobility and automotive components ecosystem.
