The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has allotted a 23-acre industrial plot in Sector 10 to Minda Corporation Ltd paving the way for a significant ₹522 crore manufacturing investment in the region. The facility will produce wiring harnesses and connection systems marking a major expansion for the auto component giant along the bustling Yamuna Expressway industrial corridor.
The proposed unit is expected to have an annual production capacity of approximately 48 lakh units and generate substantial direct and indirect employment. The project was approved under the Uttar Pradesh Investment Promotion Policy, with incentives extended as Minda Corporation is part of a Fortune 500 group.
Strengthening a Global Manufacturing Footprint
Minda Corporation, the flagship of the Spark Minda Group, operates 27 manufacturing plants across India, Vietnam, Italy, Japan, and Indonesia. The company’s portfolio spans mechatronics, connected systems, EV electronics, and plastics. The Noida facility will complement its existing operations in the region, following a previous allotment of 22 acres in Sector 24 for a joint venture manufacturing ignition switches and steering locks.
YEIDA CEO Rakesh Kumar Singh formally handed the allotment letter to Minda Corporation Executive Director Akash Minda.
Polynomous Industries to Set Up Advanced Polymer Unit
In a separate development, Polynomous Industries, a manufacturer of advanced polymer compounds, has also been allotted land in Sector 10. The company plans to invest ₹75 crore on a 10,000 sqm plot to establish a manufacturing unit, which is expected to create 500–600 jobs.
Polynomous supplies specialized polymer materials to leading electronics, appliance, and automotive component makers, with products used in everything from refrigerators and washing machines to vehicles and LED lighting systems.
These allotments underscore the continued industrial momentum along the Yamuna Expressway, attracting diverse manufacturing investments that strengthen Uttar Pradesh’s position as a key automotive and electronics component hub.
