TP Solar Limited Secures ₹455 Crore Contract for Maharashtra Solar Project.

Mumbai, January 27, 2025: TP Solar Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd. (TPREL), has signed a landmark agreement with the Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Limited (MSPGCL) to supply 300 MWp of ALMM-certified solar modules. These modules are designated for the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana (MSKVY) 2.0 project, with a contract value of approximately ₹455 crore.

    • Project: Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana (MSKVY) 2.0.
    • Modules: ALMM-certified solar modules.
    • Scope: Delivery to multiple locations across Maharashtra within the year.
    • Tender Process: Awarded as part of MSPGCL’s larger 750 MWp tender, finalized through a competitive e-Reverse Auction (eRA) process.

    • Facility: India’s largest single-location solar cell and module manufacturing plant in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu.

      • Solar cells: 4.3 GW.
      • Solar modules: 4.3 GW.
    • Technology: Advanced TOPCon and Mono PERC technologies, enabling the production of DCR (Domestic Content Requirement) modules.
    • Investment: ₹4,300 crore by Tata Power to enhance India’s solar manufacturing capabilities.
