HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – In a significant step for advanced manufacturing in the defense sector, Australian technology leader Titomic Limited has secured an Early Manufacturing Development (EMD) contract valued at USD $1.7 million with a leading U.S. defense prime contractor. The collaboration aims to establish a novel manufacturing pathway for next-generation defense components, focusing on accelerating production and bolstering supply chain resilience.
The project will leverage Titomic’s proprietary Titomic Kinetic Fusion™ technology, a high-speed cold-spray additive manufacturing process known for rapidly producing high-strength, near-net-shape metal parts with minimal material waste. All development and manufacturing work will be conducted at Titomic’s facility in Huntsville, Alabama, with fulfillment targeted for mid-2026.

The EMD contract is designed to tackle persistent issues within the defense industrial base, including production delays, capacity constraints, and fragile supply chains. By compressing development timelines and enabling scalable production, Titomic’s technology aims to help defense programs transition more swiftly from concept to serial production, ensuring critical components reach end-users faster.
