Tata Power Solar Manufacturing with 10-GW Greenfield Facility in Andhra Pradesh.

Indian solar and semiconductor manufacturing industry ecosystem in full boost mode, large number of expansion and investment by industry players. India’s leading group Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL) also set up greenfield ingot and wafer manufacturing plant of 10-gigawatt in Nellore with expected investment of about ₹6,675 crore.

As per press release to project, it is the Tata group largest ingot and wafer manufacturing unit in India currently and this Manufacturing set up redefine Andhra Pradesh position in the country as a leading and emerging advanced solar Power Manufacturing hub.

State government allotted 200 Acres of land parcel in IFFCO Kisan Special Zone to Tata Group. Currently, they will use 120 acres for the initial phase, and for future expansion plans, they will reserve remaining 80 acres.

The facility will produce ingots and wafers that serve as essential inputs for solar cells, modules, and semiconductor applications. The project supports the Government of India’s objective to strengthen domestic manufacturing and reduce reliance on imports for strategic components.

TPREL commitment for clean energy they also establish a renewable energy 200 MW captive green power plant for a power supply to new facility.

Welcoming the investment IT Minister Nara Lokesh said Andhra Pradesh was proud to host another landmark Tata Group investment, underscoring the State’s policy stability, infrastructure readiness and commitment to clean energy manufacturing.
