Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL) has taken a significant step towards strengthening its presence in India by laying the foundation stone for a new manufacturing plant in Haryana. Located at IMT Kharkhoda an industrial hub developed by Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) this facility aligns with the government’s vision of boosting industrial growth, attracting foreign investments and creating employment opportunities.

Key Details of the New Suzuki Plant

1. Strategic Location & Infrastructure

  • Spread across 100 acres, the plant will initially occupy 25 acres for manufacturing.
  • An additional 25 acres will be dedicated to green spaces, emphasizing Suzuki’s commitment to sustainability.
  • Located in IMT Kharkhoda, a well-developed industrial zone with excellent connectivity to Delhi-NCR.

2. Investment & Production Capacity

  • Initial investment: ₹1,200 crore.
  • Annual production capacity (Phase 1): 7.5 lakh units.
  • Expected operational start: 2027.

3. Employment Generation

  • The plant will create 2,000+ jobs, boosting local employment and skill development.
