Shweta Solar 1.2 GW NCR TOPCon module manufacturing plant : Shweta Solar to Power India’s Green Future with New 1.2 GW Advanced Module Plant in NCR.

Shweta Solar 1.2 GW NCR TOPCon module manufacturing plant : Shweta Solar is launching a new 1.2 GW fully automated solar module plant in Delhi NCR. Producing high-efficiency TOPCon modules from Jan 2026 it boosts India’s renewable energy manufacturing capacity with advanced technology.

NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION (NCR) – In a significant boost to India’s domestic solar manufacturing capabilities Shweta Solar Pvt. Ltd. has announced its plan to launch a new, cutting-edge solar module manufacturing facility in the National Capital Region. Scheduled to begin commercial operations in January 2026 the plant represents a major investment in the country’s renewable energy infrastructure and is poised to become a benchmark for technological innovation in the sector.

The new Shweta Solar 1.2 GW NCR TOPCon module manufacturing plant will feature an annual production capacity of 1.2 gigawatts (GW) which is scalable for future expansion. This strategic move is designed to meet the soaring demand for high-quality, efficient solar panels within India supporting the nation’s ambitious goal of achieving 500 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030.

A Leap in Solar Technology: TOPCon and Beyond

What sets this facility apart is its focus on next-generation technology. The plant will be equipped with fully automated state-of-the-art machinery sourced from European and Asian leaders. This automation will enable the production of high-efficiency TOPCon (Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact) solar modules.

TOPCon technology represents a significant advancement over conventional panels, offering:

  • Higher Efficiency: Modules designed to achieve conversion efficiencies of over 22% generating more power from the same amount of sunlight.
  • Enhanced Bifaciality: These modules can capture sunlight from both sides increasing energy yield by utilizing light reflected from the ground.
  • Superior Low-Light Performance: They perform better in cloudy or early morning and late evening conditions ensuring a more consistent power output throughout the day.
  • Longer Lifespan: Advanced cell architecture leads to better durability and a longer operational life.

Looking ahead, Shweta Solar has already planned for the next technological leap, with future expansion capabilities to produce even more advanced HJT (Heterojunction) modules, which can exceed 24% efficiency and perform exceptionally well in India’s hot climates.

Strategic Location and Quality Assurance

The choice of Delhi NCR for the plant’s location is a strategic masterstroke. It provides a formidable logistical advantage, enabling seamless and efficient distribution of modules to projects across North, West and Central India. The products will adhere to the most stringent international quality standards, including IEC and mandatory BIS certifications, ensuring reliability and performance for developers and end-consumers alike.

Powering India’s Renewable Ambitions

Sanjay Garg, Director of Shweta Solar Pvt. Ltd., emphasized the plant’s national significance: “The upcoming launch of our new manufacturing plant is a significant step for Shweta Solar and a testament to our commitment to ‘Powering the Future’ of India’s renewable energy landscape.”

He added, “We are confident that our high-quality, durable, and sustainable solar modules will empower EPC companies, developers, and end-consumers, playing a crucial role in helping India achieve its ambitious renewable energy targets.”

The establishment of the Shweta Solar 1.2 GW NCR TOPCon module manufacturing plant is more than just an industrial expansion; it is a critical step towards energy independence. By leveraging cutting-edge technology to produce superior modules domestically, Shweta Solar is not only contributing to a greener grid but also strengthening the entire Indian solar value chain, reducing reliance on imports and creating a more self-reliant future for the country’s energy sector.
