SAMSON has successfully transferred its electronics manufacturing operations to its new Offenbach am Main site, marking a major milestone in the largest relocation and modernization project in the company’s 118-year history. The move was completed without disrupting production, with all machinery installed on schedule and roughly 200 employees now working from the modernized facility.
The newly operational unit is responsible for manufacturing SAMSON’s core product line: positioners, which are essential for precise control in industrial valve systems. Employees have welcomed the improved, well-lit workspace and advanced technical infrastructure.
A Phased Transition Toward a Unified Hub
This is just the first phase of a comprehensive consolidation plan. By December 1, 2025, the full inventory of electronic components will be transferred to Offenbach, enabling the complete positioner production process—from material handling to final assembly—to take place under one roof.
Construction continues actively on adjacent production units. In line with SAMSON’s sustainability goals, solar panels and green roofs are being installed to enhance the site’s energy efficiency. Simultaneously, machinery is being set up in new electroplating and valve production sections.
Modernization Drives Future Readiness
Approximately 40% of factory equipment is being upgraded as part of the relocation, paving the way for greater operational efficiency and future-ready manufacturing capabilities. With electronics production now established, the focus will shift to relocating machining operations, including CNC machines and Swiss-type automatic lathes for complex part manufacturing.
The “MainChange” Project: A Historic Investment
This strategic relocation, known internally as the “MainChange” project, represents SAMSON’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and the Rhine-Main region. Once fully consolidated, the Offenbach facility will serve as the company’s new headquarters and integrated production hub, strengthening its position as a global leader in control valves and process automation solutions for industries like chemicals, energy, and pharmaceuticals.
With around 5,000 employees worldwide, SAMSON’s move is more than a change of address—it’s a foundational step toward long-term growth and industrial excellence.
