Indian drone maker Raphe mPhibr acquires 11.5 acres in Noida to scale up defence & aerospace production, in a unique land swap deal with Parag Dairy.
NOIDA, Uttar Pradesh – In a unique and strategic expansion move, homegrown defence drone manufacturer Raphe mPhibr has acquired 11.5 acres of land from Parag Dairy in Noida’s Sector 81 to significantly scale up its manufacturing unit dedicated to defence and aerospace.
The deal, valued at approximately Rs 101 crore, paves the way for Raphe to expand from its current four-acre operational plot, enabling a major boost in its production capacity for advanced unmanned aerial systems.
A Unique Land Swap for Industrial Growth
The transaction, which received state cabinet approval in July, is structured as a multifaceted agreement that facilitates the growth of two distinct industries. The Noida Authority is transferring the land to Raphe without a transfer fee.
As a core part of the deal, Raphe mPhibr will finance the relocation of Parag Dairy and construct a new, modern dairy plant on a 10-acre plot in Sector 32 along the Yamuna Expressway. The new dairy facility is designed with a substantial processing capacity of 400,000 litres per day.
The agreement includes performance clauses: Raphe will pay Parag an additional Rs 10 crore as a bonus if the new plant is completed within two years, but will face a penalty of Rs 5 crore per year for any delays.
Bolstering India’s Indigenous Defence Ecosystem
Established in 2016, Raphe mPhibr has rapidly emerged as a key player in India’s defence technology landscape. The company gained recognition when its drones were deployed in Operation Sindoor earlier this year.
Its product portfolio includes advanced systems like the mR10 swarm drone, mR20 logistics drone, Bharat surveillance drone, and the X8 maritime drone. The company has also achieved the significant milestone of developing India’s first military-grade autopilot system and an internal combustion drone engine.
The expansion reinforces the company’s commitment to the “Make in India” initiative in defence. The facility was officially inaugurated in August by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, where Raphe has already invested a substantial Rs 800 crore.
This land acquisition marks the next phase of its journey to build a self-reliant Indian drone manufacturing ecosystem.
