Page Industries, the Indian licensee of Jockey, is exploring locations across Karnataka, Odisha, Chhattisgarh and Telangana for a proposed manufacturing expansion involving an investment of up to ₹3,000 crore.
The project is currently at the blueprint stage, with construction expected to take around 12–18 months, according to Managing Director V. S. Ganesh.
Key highlights of the company’s expansion strategy:
🔹 New Manufacturing Plant: Proposed investment of up to ₹3,000 crore to expand production capacity and cater to growing demand for branded apparel.
🔹 Satellite Manufacturing Facilities: Two additional facilities are planned near existing large manufacturing plants in Odisha and Karnataka, with operations targeted for early next financial year.
🔹 Existing Manufacturing Network: Page Industries currently operates 16 manufacturing facilities.
🔹 Retail Expansion: The company plans to add approximately 125–150 stores every year over the next four to five years.
🔹 Digital Growth: Online channels currently contribute 16–17% of revenue, with the company targeting a 30% contribution over the next three to five years.
Despite inflationary pressures and rising input costs linked to geopolitical developments in the Middle East, the company is focusing on improving productivity, optimising sourcing and manufacturing operations, and strengthening supply chain efficiency rather than passing the entire cost burden on to consumers.
With a significant manufacturing investment pipeline, expanding retail footprint and growing digital presence, Page Industries is positioning itself for its next phase of growth in India’s branded apparel market.
