• ⏱️ Execution: Converted from an empty structure into a fully operational battery plant in less than 8 months
• 🔋 Annual Capacity: 48,000+ battery systems
• ⚡ Energy Capacity: 3+ GWh annually
With the new Gujarat facility, Octillion’s combined annual production capacity in India is expected to exceed 150,000 battery systems and approximately 9 GWh.
The company’s Indian manufacturing footprint will serve multiple segments, including:
🚗 Passenger Vehicles
🚛 Trucks & LCVs
🚌 Electric Buses
The expansion comes at a time when India’s EV market is witnessing strong growth, driven by increasing electrification across passenger vehicles, commercial fleets, buses and two-wheelers.
Octillion is also focusing beyond battery assembly by integrating standardized production processes, thermal modelling, battery management systems, local sourcing and engineering capabilities into its India operations.
The Halol facility is expected to help OEM customers reduce lead times, improve supply-chain resilience and increase localisation while supporting the country’s long-term EV and battery manufacturing ambitions.
