In February 2026 Kerala’s electronics and electrical manufacturing sectors are undergoing a significant transformation, anchored by two massive projects at KINFRA industrial parks in Kochi.
These projects, representing a combined investment of over ₹650 crore, will be officially inaugurated by Kerala’s Minister for Industries, P. Rajeeve on February 10 and 11, 2026.
1. V-Guard Innovation Campus (Kakkanad)
Located in the KINFRA Electronics Manufacturing Cluster (EMC), this 3-acre campus is designed as a world-class hub for R&D and skill development.
- Phase I Details: * Investment: ₹115 crore.
- Infrastructure: An 11-storey facility spanning 1.10 lakh sq. ft.
- Employment: Already created approximately 400 jobs.
- Focus: Advanced product development in electricals, electronics, and digital energy solutions.
- Phase II Roadmap: * Investment: ₹200 crore.
- Jobs: Projected to create an additional 600 roles.
2. Kaynes Technology Manufacturing Unit (Perumbavoor)
The second major project marks the first high-tech manufacturing presence in Kerala for Kaynes Technology, a global leader in Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS).
- Initial Setup: Operating from the KINFRA Industrial Park at Perumbavoor, the first phase was readied in a record four months following the “Invest Kerala Global Summit” in February 2025.
- Total Investment: Projected at ₹350 crore.
- Expansion Strategy: The Minister will lay the foundation stone for the “Beta” building, with “Gamma” and “Delta” complexes to follow, totaling 2.16 lakh sq. ft.
- Target Sectors: Aviation, Defense, and Automotive electronics.
