HFCL advance defense equipment manufacturing unit : HFCL announced the inauguration of its HFCL advance defense equipment manufacturing unit in Hosur district of Tamil Nadu on 23 December 2024.
This strategic achievement of HFCL reflects their commitment towards making India self-reliant in the defense sector.
This new manufacturing unit of HFCL is dedicated to the production of advanced defense equipment, this unit will produce thermal weapon sites, electronic fuses, high capacity radio relay (HCRR) systems and surveillance radars indigenously developed by HFCL.
These are being prepared to meet the emerging needs of the Indian Armed Forces. This unit has the capacity to produce 5000 Thermal Weapon Sights, 2.5 lakh Electronic Fuses, 1000 High Capacity Radio Relays and Ground Surveillance Radars, it will meet the critical requirements of the Indian Armed Forces as well as contribute significantly to the country’s growing export portfolio.
This new unit will design equipment as per the growing demand for high-precision defense technologies. It has a clean room facility of 10,000 sq. and 1,00,000 sq. for TI Core and Thermal Weapon Sights production, ensuring the highest standards of quality and reliability.
