On January 21, 2026 Group Legrand India officially inaugurated its newest and largest manufacturing facility in Nashik, Maharashtra. Spanning over 30,000 square meters, this state-of-the-art plant is not only Legrand’s biggest in India but also one of its largest globally signaling India’s elevation to a critical supply hub for the Group’s worldwide operations.
The facility is a cornerstone of the “Made in India, Made for the World” strategy, with export operations already active.
Product Focus: The Data Center Engine
The Nashik unit is specifically engineered to cater to the explosive growth of the Data Center segment, integrating technologies from recent strategic acquisitions like NetRack.
- Core Products:
- Busbar Trunking Systems: High-power (up to 5000A) and medium-power solutions for efficient energy distribution.
- Distribution Boards: Advanced safety-first protection systems (e.g., the Ekinoxe range).
- Digital Infrastructure: Server racks, Cablofil cable trays, and structured cabling.
- Industrial Components: Specialized plugs and sockets designed for high-uptime environments.
Sustainability & Green Engineering
In line with Legrand’s global commitment to carbon neutrality by 2050, the Nashik facility features industry-leading environmental standards:
| Feature | Specification / Achievement |
| Certification | Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) Green Building Certified |
| Renewable Energy | 1 MW rooftop solar power system installed |
| Water Management | Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) compliant |
| Operational Goal | 42% reduction in Scope 1 & 2 emissions by 2030 |
Strategic Impact: NetRack & Beyond
The facility acts as a synergetic hub for Legrand’s diverse brand portfolio, which includes IndoAsian, Numeric, Valrack, Adlec, and NetRack.
- Integration: By combining NetRack’s specialized rack engineering with Legrand’s power distribution (Numeric UPS and Busbars), the Nashik plant offers a complete “turnkey” solution for hyperscale and edge data centers.
- Economic Scale: Group Legrand now employs over 5,000 people in India across seven factories and three R&D centers, making it one of the largest electrical players in the country.
“This facility represents an important milestone… reflecting our continued focus on building long-term capabilities in India. We look forward to the value this will create for global markets.” — Tony Berland, CEO & MD, Group Legrand India.
