The Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) is actively supporting small and medium-scale food processing entrepreneurs through a range of schemes aimed at fostering growth, innovation, and global competitiveness in the sector. These initiatives include the Pradhan Mantri Kisan SAMPADA Yojana (PMKSY), Production Linked Incentive Scheme for Food Processing Industry (PLISFPI), and the PM Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) Scheme.

3. Production Linked Incentive Scheme for Food Processing Industry (PLISFPI)

PLISFPI aims to:

  • Operational Period: 2021-22 to 2026-27.
  • Outlay: ₹10,900 crore.

    • 171 food processing companies approved for assistance under various categories.
