Exicom Unveils ₹216 Cr Hyderabad Mega-Factory to Power India’s EV Charging Revolution.

Gurugram-based Exicom Tele-Systems Limited officially inaugurated its massive new manufacturing hub in Hyderabad, Telangana.

The ₹216 crore ($23.4 million) facility represents a critical leap for India’s EV infrastructure, positioning Exicom as a primary supplier for both domestic fast-charging networks and global export markets.

The Hyderabad “Mega-Factory” Blueprint

Spread across 18.4 acres, this facility is now one of the largest integrated power electronics plants in South Asia.

Strategic Innovation: Interoperability & Liquid Cooling

Exicom is moving beyond simple assembly to address the two biggest bottlenecks in the EV industry: charger reliability and vehicle compatibility.

  1. First Interoperability Testing Centre: The facility will house India’s first dedicated center to test “handshake” protocols between different EV models and chargers, ensuring a seamless “plug-and-charge” experience across all brands.
  2. Tritium Partnership: The plant will manufacture Tritium’s TRI-FLEX liquid-cooled power modules. Liquid cooling allows for ultra-fast charging (350kW+) in India’s high-ambient temperatures without the risk of thermal throttling.
  3. Traceability: Every component is integrated into an automated “Product Traceability” system, ensuring automotive-grade quality (IATF 16949 certified).

Market Context: The 72,000 Station Goal

The timing of the launch aligns with the Indian government’s $1 billion subsidy scheme aimed at deploying 72,000 public charging stations by 2030.

“This facility brings together precision manufacturing and advanced automation. These capabilities allow us to innovate faster and scale with confidence to meet global standards.” — Anant Nahata, CEO & MD, Exicom.
