Exicom begins manufacturing advanced liquid-cooled EV charging power modules in Hyderabad.

Exicom Tele-Systems Limited has started manufacturing advanced liquid-cooled AC and DC power modules for electric vehicle chargers at its Smart Manufacturing Facility in Hyderabad.

According to the company, this makes Exicom the first manufacturer in India to produce this class of liquid-cooled power electronics for global markets.

🌡️ Why liquid cooling matters: As EV chargers move toward higher power levels and longer operating cycles, efficient thermal management becomes increasingly important. Liquid cooling can transfer heat more efficiently than conventional air cooling, helping maintain lower operating temperatures and supporting continuous high-load operation.

The new modules feature a compact, fully sealed architecture, offering enhanced protection against dust, moisture and salt-laden air—making them suitable for demanding operating environments.

The technology builds on expertise developed within Tritium, the global DC fast-charging company acquired by Exicom in 2024. Initial production from Hyderabad will primarily serve customers in North America and Europe, supporting Tritium’s DC charging portfolio, including TRI-FLEX and DC-FLEX systems.

🇮🇳 In later phases, Exicom plans to introduce the technology to Indian customers, including charge point operators, fleet operators and automotive manufacturers, while progressively integrating liquid-cooled architecture into its flagship Harmony DC chargers.

The Hyderabad facility combines automation, digital traceability and specialised testing capabilities, strengthening Exicom’s ability to manufacture high-precision power electronics for both domestic and international markets.

With more than 133,000 EV chargers sold globally, Exicom is further strengthening India’s position as a manufacturing hub for advanced EV charging technologies.
