Samvardhana Motherson International Limited is a subsidiary of Motherson Electronic Components Private Limited (MECPL) announced that the center government approved his incentives under Electronics Components Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS) it is providing under Indian government Production Linked Incentive initiative.
This policy benefit provided under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology for the manufacturing of consumer electronics items it will be provided for next six years from FY26 to FY31.
Expected investment by MECPL during the incentive period about ₹1,900 crore and it will help to create of more than 5000 jobs from kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu manufacturing facility.
According to information provided by Motherson ECMS policy incentive helps its future ambition to scale consumer electronics manufacturing while leveraging its existing strengths across India’s automotive, aerospace and electronics value chains
