Andhra CM Invites Google to Establish Chip Design and Manufacturing Hub in Visakhapatnam.

Amaravati – Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, during the World Economic Forum in Davos, made a compelling case for global corporations, including tech giant Google, to invest in the state. He highlighted Andhra Pradesh’s industrial potential and its vision to become a global tech and manufacturing hub.


Proposal to Google for Chip Design and Manufacturing in Visakhapatnam

Naidu emphasized the port city of Visakhapatnam as an ideal location for Google to set up a chip design and manufacturing unit. This comes in light of Google’s growing focus on producing chips for server operations.

Naidu also assured Google of full state support for its initiatives and proposed Andhra Pradesh as a hub for the company’s server operations.

Naidu held discussions with Muhammad Taufiq, President and Group CEO of Petronas, to attract investments in the state’s petrochemical hub at Mulapeta.


Discussions with PepsiCo for Expansion in Visakhapatnam

The CM met with Eugene Willemsen, CEO of Pepsi International Franchise Beverages, and Stephen Kehoe, Chairman of the PepsiCo Foundation.


Collaboration with Bahrain and Mumtalakat

The Chief Minister also met with representatives from Bahrain, including Hamad Al Mahmeed of the Prime Minister’s Office and Abdullah Bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, CEO of Mumtalakat.
