In a significant boost to India’s advanced manufacturing capabilities Alligator Automations, a leader in end-of-line packaging and robotic automation has inaugurated a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Pune with an investment of ₹40 crore. This facility is set to nearly triple the company’s production capacity and reduce India’s reliance on imported automation systems.
The new plant is designed to execute complete turnkey automation projects—from engineering and assembly to testing and dispatch—entirely from India. With an annual production potential of ₹500–600 crore the facility strengthens India’s role in global automation supply chains and positions the country as a competitive engineering hub.
A Fully-Integrated, High-Tech Facility
The 100,000 sq ft facility is equipped with advanced capabilities, including:
- A dedicated powder-coating line
- Automated storage infrastructure for over 100 tons of materials
- Six loading bays and five 7.5-ton cranes
- A fully digital workflow enabling 15–20 major projects simultaneously
By consolidating fabrication, coating, quality assurance, and assembly under one roof, the plant is expected to shorten delivery timelines by 20% and significantly enhance production precision.
Driving Self-Reliance and Global Growth
At the inauguration, Founder & CEO Srinivas Choudhary emphasized the facility’s role in crafting globally competitive engineering solutions from India. “This plant marks a defining moment in our journey to reduce imports, empower domestic manufacturing, and deliver complex automation technologies that meet international standards,” he stated.
The expansion is projected to:
- Increase export volumes by 30%
- Create over 400 new jobs in India and 100 positions overseas within the next three years
