Kolkata, Feb 21 (PTI): Vura Bau-Chemie a leading Gujarat-based construction chemicals company has announced plans to establish three new manufacturing plants as part of its strategy to expand its presence in eastern and southern India. This move aims to capitalize on the booming construction chemical sector in the country and strengthen its retail market footprint.

Expanding Footprint in Key Regions

The company is now eyeing the eastern and southern regions, which currently lack its manufacturing facilities. “We are considering the eastern and southern regions for expansion as we currently lack facilities there. However, nothing has been finalized yet,” a senior company official stated.

This expansion aligns with the company’s goal of becoming a pan-India player in the construction chemicals industry, which is witnessing rapid growth due to increasing infrastructure development and urbanization.

Focusing on Retail Market Growth

Vura Bau-Chemie is also intensifying its focus on the retail segment which currently contributes 60% of its revenue. The company aims to increase this share to 80% over the next two years. To support this strategy, Vura has onboarded former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly as its brand ambassador.

“We are a fast-growing company aiming to expand our footprint in the retail market. To advance this journey we have onboarded Sourav Ganguly as our brand ambassador and will soon launch outdoor campaigns,” said Minesh Chaudhari, CEO of Vura Bau-Chemie.

Ambitious Financial Goals

The company has set ambitious financial targets, aiming to close the current fiscal year with a topline of Rs 450 crore a significant jump from Rs 150 crore in FY’24. This growth will be driven by increased retail penetration strategic marketing initiatives and the expansion of its manufacturing capabilities.

IPO Plans in the Pipeline

Vura Bau-Chemie is also evaluating the possibility of an Initial Public Offering (IPO) to fuel its expansion plans and enhance its market presence. “We have an IPO on the radar and aim to make Vura a household name,” the senior official added.

A Boost for the Construction Chemical Sector

The construction chemical sector in India is experiencing robust growth driven by government initiatives such as Smart Cities, affordable housing, and infrastructure development.
