In a major boost to Telangana’s clean mobility ambitions KETO Motors has signed an agreement with the state government to establish an electric bus manufacturing facility in Jadcherla with an investment of ₹300 crore. The announcement was made at the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025.
The plant will specialize in manufacturing 9-meter electric buses and is projected to create over 2,000 direct jobs within three years, significantly boosting the local economy. The state will facilitate the project through its TG-iPASS single-window clearance system, ensuring streamlined approvals.
Strengthening the EV Value Chain
Minister for Industries & Commerce, Shri D. Sridhar Babu, emphasized the investment’s role in advancing the state’s EV manufacturing ecosystem. “This strengthens the EV value chain and advances our manufacturing capabilities while creating substantial employment,” he stated reinforcing Telangana’s commitment to sustainable growth.
A Partnership for Global Standards
Venkatesh Challa, Director at KETO Motors described Telangana as a forward-looking state for EV manufacturing. The Jadcherla facility will enable the company to scale production and develop buses meeting global standards supporting both the domestic market and export ambitions.
KETO Motors, headquartered in Hyderabad manufactures electric autos and buses. It operates in a strategic partnership with Tron Energy Technology, Taiwan’s largest electric bus OEM to enhance its technical and production capabilities.
This collaboration underscores Telangana’s strategy to position itself as a leading hub for electric vehicle manufacturing, aligning with the vision outlined in the Telangana Rising 2047 document unveiled at the summit.
