In a major boost to India’s industrial construction materials sector Mount Roofing & Structures Private Limited has inaugurated its second fully-automated sandwich panel line and a new Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) plant at its Tumkur, Karnataka campus. The ₹250 crore expansion solidifies its position as India’s largest PUF Panel manufacturer.
The new integrated facility, spanning 22 acres and 4 lakh square feet dramatically scales up production capacity to meet rising demand from large-scale infrastructure and industrial projects nationwide.
Record-Breaking Production Scale
The expansion catapults Mount Roofing’s monthly manufacturing capacity to industry-leading levels:
- Sandwich PUF Panels: 7,00,000 square meters (7 lakh sqm)
- Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB): 2,500 Metric Tonnes
- Cold-Formed Steel Sections: 1,000 MT
- Polycarbonate Sheets: 350 tons
Driving Regional Growth and Product Innovation
The plant is expected to generate over 400 new jobs contributing significantly to Karnataka’s industrial economy. It enables an expanded product portfolio including Solar Panel Hi-Rib Roofs, Rockwool Fire-Rated Panels, Clean Room Panels and specialized Cold Room Panels.
The PEB division has been enhanced with automated paint booths and shot blasting systems, while the polycarbonate line now offers new profiles like Diamond and Raindrop sheets.

With this scaled capacity, Mount is strategically positioned to serve high-demand markets in South, South-East, and Central India. The company has outlined future expansion focus on the industrial corridors of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat.
