Foxconn Group to invest ₹15,000 crore in Tamil Nadu.

Foxconn Group, the world’s largest electronics company in the field of contact manufacturing will invest ₹1,500 crore in Tamil Nadu as part of its expansion plan in India. This expansion plan will create 14,000 high-value engineering roles focused primarily on AI-based advanced technologies, value-added manufacturing and research and development integration.

This investment by Foxconn will be made at various locations in Tamil Nadu. In recognition of Foxconn’s investment commitment the Tamil Nadu government has established a “Foxconn Desk.” This expansion plan was announced during a meeting between the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and Foxconn officials. Foxconn cited the Tamil Nadu government’s governance, industrial policy, infrastructure, ease of doing business, and other factors as key reasons for investing in Tamil Nadu.

Foxconn’s expansion plan includes ventures in semiconductor assembly and AI technologies. This investment by Foxconn marks a significant milestone for the state of Tamil Nadu to establish itself as the best destination in India for industrial investment.
