Rana Group Erisha Smart Manufacturing Hub Ras Al Khaimah EV hydrogen : Rana Group breaks ground on the massive Erisha Smart Manufacturing Hub in Ras Al Khaimah. The $10B project will produce EVs, hydrogen vehicles, eVTOLs & semiconductors, boosting UAE’s green economy & creating 4000 jobs.

RAS AL KHAIMAH, UAE – In a landmark move for regional industrial development the Rana Group officially broke ground on its colossal Erisha Smart Manufacturing Hub on September 6, 2025. The ceremony, held in the Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) marks the start of a project poised to become one of the largest and most advanced industrial hubs in the region squarely focused on the future of green technology.

The groundbreaking event, which incorporated traditional Puja rituals, was attended by chief guest Yaser Al Ahmed alongside the leadership of Rana Group. Chairman and Managing Director Dr. Darshan Rana immediately followed the ceremony with strategic meetings with key execution partners including EPC contractor GHV Infra and design consultant Capital Engineering, signaling a swift move from planning to action.

A Hub for Next-Generation Industries

The scale of the Rana Group Erisha Smart Manufacturing Hub Ras Al Khaimah EV hydrogen project is staggering. The development will encompass 15 million square feet of dedicated facility space within a total construction area of approximately 25 million square feet. This vast space is designed to host over 150 industries, with a strategic focus on cutting-edge sectors:

  • Electric and Hydrogen Vehicle Production: Establishing a manufacturing core for the future of clean transportation.
  • Renewable Energy Systems: Supporting the transition to sustainable power.
  • eVTOL Aircraft Manufacturing: Tapping into the emerging market of electric vertical take-off and landing vehicles for urban air mobility.
  • Semiconductor Manufacturing: A critical investment in the high-value electronics supply chain.

More Than an Industrial Park: A Mixed-Use Ecosystem

The Erisha Hub is conceived as a fully integrated ecosystem. Beyond its industrial muscle, the 335-acre project will feature significant residential and commercial spaces. Planned amenities include hospitals, a medical college, shopping centers, warehousing, office complexes and financial institutions, creating a self-sustaining community for its workforce and residents.

Major Economic and Environmental Impact

The project represents a monumental economic investment, with expectations to attract approximately $10 billion in total funding. Its operational impact is projected to be equally profound:

  • Economic Contribution: An estimated $5-6 billion annual contribution to the UAE’s GDP.
  • Job Creation: The creation of around 4,000 new jobs within the emirate.
  • Strategic Alignment: The hub directly supports the UAE’s ambitious economic diversification plans and its Net Zero by 2050 strategic initiative.

Dr. Darshan Rana stated, “This project will stand at the forefront of the green energy revolution, significantly contributing to the UAE’s net-zero ambitions while fostering a self-sustainable future.”

A Strategic Base for Global Expansion

The hub is also a critical strategic play for Rana Group’s own growth. It is expected to serve as the operational base for the group’s electric vehicle subsidiary, Erisha E Mobility, facilitating its expansion into Middle Eastern and African markets while it continues its existing operations in India.

With planning and execution now underway with its partner consortium, the Rana Group Erisha Smart Manufacturing Hub Ras Al Khaimah EV hydrogen project is set to become a cornerstone of the UAE’s industrial landscape, positioning Ras Al Khaimah as a leading global destination for sustainable technology and advanced manufacturing.
